Samaritan Hospital in Macon posted a $19,034 net loss in June, compared with a prior-year net profit of $318,817.
The Board of Trustees accepted the June financial report on July 28, according to the minutes. Gross revenue was 108% of budget, and operating expenses were 95.7% of budget.
The board voted unanimously to accept CrowdStrike for a cybersecurity upgrade. The CEO presented three quotes, according to the minutes. The current software is being discontinued, and the information technology director recommended CrowdStrike.
The CEO discussed DCI needing a larger space to accommodate more dialysis patients, according to the minutes. The CEO had received a proposed lease agreement on a new building with rent abatement for more than 10 years and forwarded the proposal to legal counsel for review. The board suggested continuing lease discussions and proposing other buildings and locations.
The board voted unanimously to approve initial, reappointment, and change-in-status medical staff applications presented by Chief of Staff Dr. Mayes.
