PITTSBURG, Kan. — Arkansas Tech (5-2) beat Truman State University (1-6) 25-16, 25-15, and 25-18 in volleyball Friday at John Lance Arena.
Erika Hernandez, of Arkansas Tech, served four aces in the first set, including a run that stretched a 12-8 lead into 19-8. Arkansas Tech closed that set on a service ace from Kylie Lambert, of Arkansas Tech.
Henley Hooks, of Arkansas Tech, Savannah Meyer, of Arkansas Tech, and Sammie Smith, of Arkansas Tech, each had eight kills. Hernandez, of Arkansas Tech, had seven kills and four blocks. Karlly Dillard, of Arkansas Tech, had five blocks. Kenzie Garrett, of Arkansas Tech, had 18 assists, and Meyer, of Arkansas Tech, had 11 digs.
Autumn Erickson, of Truman State, had seven kills. Jessie Julius, of Truman State, had six kills, and Hannah Hosty, of Truman State, had four. Tori Creason, of Truman State, had 16 assists. Addy Janssen, of Truman State, had 12 digs.
Arkansas Tech hit .341 to Truman State's .090 and outscored Truman State 38-26 in kills, 11-3 in aces, and 11-3 in blocks.
