KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Rockhurst beat Truman State University 1-0 in women's soccer Wednesday at Bourke Field in a Great Lakes Valley Conference match.
Caitlyn Smith, of Rockhurst, scored at 10:49 on an assist from Jacie Tottleben, of Rockhurst, from 35 yards off a short lead pass.
Rockhurst outshot Truman State 13-10 and put five shots on goal to two. Mikayla Thomas, of Truman State, played all 90 minutes and made four saves. Sydney Schnarr, of Rockhurst, played all 90 minutes and made two saves for the shutout. Truman State had six corner kicks to Rockhurst's five. Both teams were called for eight fouls. There were no cautions or ejections.
Attendance was 90.
Truman State is 1-2-2 and 0-1-1 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. Rockhurst is 4-0-1 and 2-0-0.
